Husband is back to work, and back to work these days means teleworking from home. While I’m not exactly thrilled with this situation, Lord Dudley Mountcatten is ecstatic.

He’s been a daddy’s boy from day one and simply tolerates me because I am the opener of the can.

Having a home office with a cat in residence can be challenging.

Reports and correspondence take a back seat when the royal feline says attention must be paid.

Cats rule, regardless of anything else. I like these photos.

If my cat sat on my keyboard it would never work again – he’s a fat long hair!

At least in my setup, I’ve got the sliding glass door to distract Laverne & Shirley. And a constant parade of critters out there to keep their attention.

Lord Dudley has ample distraction, he just loves his father.

We had a cat that used to stand on the keyboard when we wanted to type. One day, we just let the cat walk on the keyboard for about an hour, with a word processor going. When we checked again, he’d written what ended up being the first half of John Grisham’s The Firm…

I just finished Grisham’s new sequel to The Firm, The Exchange.
My cat could have done better…

Cats always have a way of making everything about ME ME ME. They are the original narcissists!
A side note: He IS the most handsome boy, so I can see why he has such an inflated ego. 🙂

Isn’t it funny how animals gravitate toward one human or another? Cheddar (boy) clearly gravitates toward me, while Mango (girl) has a semi-erotic “thing” for the husband and his facial hair.

His Lordship was my boy when we first adopted him. Actually run from my husband. Now he’s switched allegiances and only tolerates me because I can open cans.

Oh no! So he’s cute, sweet, adorable… and traitorous. 😉
