I never used to be an early riser. When my husband and I were first married you’d rarely see me out of bed before 8:30.
Now that I’m older and hopefully wiser, I greet the dawn more often than not.

It rarely disappoints.

For better or worse, I’m just naturally an early riser. I love early mornings – it’s so quiet and peaceful. When Mark asked if 9:00 was too early for breakfast, I was like, “Well, I get up at 4:30 so…”

I’m that way now. My husband getting up at 4:00 am for decades ruined sleeping in. I don’t mind, though my late nights aren’t so late anymore.

Yes, we’re not closing down any bars… 🙂

It’s funny, but Covid changed our late night cocktail habits. To avoid crowds we started day drinking and now we’re more apt to go out for late lunch and a few toddy’s.

So bright, and every time completely new. 💕
I’m an early riser myself, between 4:30 and 6 depending… I love quiet mornings of solitude, writing, reflecting.

Not so quiet if my husband is home. If he’s awake, the tv is on.

5 a.m. most weekday mornings for me. At least since DST ended, it’s only pitch dark for half my morning walk now.

I get up between 5 and 5:30. Of course I’m awake at 4:00, just don’t roll out of bed then.

Those look like some of our sunsets here. I would ssy it must be the effect of the oceans, but our oceans are behind a chain of tall mountainns. Must be the sun!
