Because my life is full of it.

Worst. Band. Name. Ever….

As I’ve said before, I’m always 10 years off trend. When I redid my kitchen a decade ago I wanted blue and grey but everything was green and beige. Now that I’m redoing my living room and want green and beige, everything is blue and grey.
But aside from grandma’s drapes, I prefer the before picture here with the warm wood tones and stone fireplace.

That’s Lord Dudley, and he doesn’t ever see the bottom of the bowl.

This made me laugh out loud when my husband thought it was a breakfast place that served the corned beef variety.
🤣

I excel at all those things, but after reading the title I’d say the author needs help with preposition placement.
😉.
.
I agree with your preference for the BEFORE picture. The AFTER is too sterile for my taste. Where’s the warmth?

Nothing wrong with her preposition placememt in a Title. She is just changing the worrd order for emphais.
If I have to choose between two rooms, I will take the BEFORE. But realistically spesking I would live in neither. Too much white/beige/cream. The rooms scream for colour, in my taste opinion.
With one cat the bottom of the bowl need not be seen. With five it is often seen. They can ignore the kibble for days, then suddenly it is gone — hzppens sll the time. Likewise with water bowls.

My guy is a nibbler, but doesn’t like it when the level falls.

“House Of Hash” definitely could qualify as a truck-stop/diner name, although these days it probably would indeed be weed.

It’s perfect either way…

I like the before pic too, I’m into warm tones for decor purposes. And what’s up with that name? House of Hash certainly sounds like a restaurant, lol.

They probably have edibles… but still.

I would be a customer at the house of hash(ish), no problem. I haven’t had a speck in twenty years at least.
The after pic isn’t bad, it’s a good space to start with. All that white gives you the opportunity to add color with furniture, accessories and artwork, which should never be chosen to match your paint, rug or whatever. Oh, and those boring ass curtains gotta go.

A good place to start, but I’m afraid it’s already finished.

I’m a huge Deer Tick fan. Seriously. I love “Easy.”
My mom went to Mary Jane’s House of Glass once looking for drinkware. True story. We still laugh about that to this day…

That’s a riot.
But understandable as well…

I’m with you: that “before” living room is warm and cozy. It doesn’t look outdated to me at all.
