Cocktail hour quirks

.

I’m happy to report my pickle algorithm seems to have taken a hike and in its place something a little closer to my heart has started popping up.

Although not all the recipes are good.

.

Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should.

🤢

Yes, the Pillsbury doughboy is now sharing cocktail recipes with me. The world is a very strange place indeed.

.

.

That doesn’t sound or look the least bit appealing.

I doubt it’s a very good idea in general either.

Ouch!

Talk about your basic recipe. It’s like they’re not even trying.

Cheers!

  1. 7 ingredients in one drink? I don’t cook entire meals with 7 ingredients! I no longer drink adult beverages but even when I did the only “complicated” drink I ever indulged in was a (classic) margarita (straight up, no salt). I did go through a vodka gimlet phase which is what – 3 ingredients?

      1. Scotch is simply whiskey made in Scotland. Different whiskeys use different grains – I prefer bourbon myself which is a corn whiskey. I’m not really prepared to start fermenting grains but thanks all the same…

      1. That was my first mixed drink. I turned 21 in a bar that sold beer to 18-21 year olds and hard liquor only if you were 21. A few minutes after midnight I had a gimlet (with gin, as they are meant to be – and Rose’s lime juice is the only other ingredient, unless you squeeze your own limes and add a bit of sugar). I returned to that bar 50 years later but it was too early in the day for a gimlet, I thought.

  3. We came across some giant crows the other day, but they weren’t drunk. Then again, it was early in the morning and perhaps the crow bar hadn’t opened up yet. The Pillsbury blueberry hard lemonade sounds like a winner…then again any alcohol with blueberry sounds like a winner.🔵
