Ialready timed myself peeing after reading similar, non cicada, posts. I was averaging 5.5 seconds… but that was when Ihad a UTI.

I’m happy to hear of scientists claiming research can be fun, but am with you that this isn’t my definition of that word. I wonder if they have a definition of ‘a person who enjoys watching insects urinate?’

I can’t wait for the big bug hatch. I like to feel them crunching under my feet and the approaching mothership/ death ray sound is just enchanting.

I did just read something about the upcoming cicada-geddon we’ve been promised. They do come out here, and when they rev up, it is pretty impressive. I now will refrain from standing underneath them going forward…or upward.
