.
The stone work continues and it’s been …
Challenging.
Yes. Let’s go with that.
.

.
Cutting around the dryer vent was extremely unpleasant since rounded cuts had to be made.
.

.
A new tool was purchased.
.

.
And my husband now owns a grinder with a masonry blade.
.

.
I doubt it will surprise you to learn an entire day was spent making adjustments.
.

.
I snuck a few pictures but played it safe and stayed in the house during the majority of the cursing work.
.

.
Aggravating? Yes.
But it turned out well in the end and we’re beginning to get an idea what the finished product will look like.
😊
.
Yes. I can imagine some cursing happening. I would be the same after some time.

There’s no margin for error with stone, if you’re a little off? Start again…

Lookin’ good! Gotta say that’s one dandy chop saw there. Foul language helps me concentrate but Cathy doesn’t like it much unless we’re watching the news.🤬

I bought him that saw when we were building the barn. It’s gotten a work out…

Well….cursing helps me in everything, lol. Mostly to keep from killing someone else. But, the stone facade is looking really good 😉.

My husband hates the f word and never uses it. I have to let it fly when he’s not home…

Well just to be fair, there are many more cuss words than just f-word. I tend to use a mélange of not so nice vocabulary. You know, just to keep it spicy…lol.

When I was studying Spanish in Mexico we had a whole lesson on the versatility of the Spanish equivalent of the F word. There is a dictionary dedicated to it.

DIY=new tools for spouse! I sometimes wonder whether DIY is cheaper in the end…

Cheaper? Yes.
More aggravation? Most definitely!

But will your husband ever use the grinder with a masonry blade again?

I agree, it’s going to be very pretty. And now your husband has a new tool, to boot! (I think men take on projects like these just as an excuse to get a new tool.)

With all the money we’ve spent on remodeling, he actually didn’t want to spend more on a tool he’ll use once.
And that’s a first!
