I was doing some paperwork at my desk the other day so of course His Lordship had to join me. After booting him off the desk three times he decided to jump on the printer and cause trouble.

He’s good at that, but looks oh so innocent.

.
Needless to say everything up there was knocked to the floor before long.

Cats.
😊
.
Back when I had a cat, she’d bug me for a while; then, she’d grab my arm in her claws and bite my thumb. This would go on for a second or two… then, she’d flip over and run away…

I understand her desire…

Not sure which desire you’re understanding…but I guess that’s between you and masercot.

I always think of cats on a counter like a business advertising a shop-closing sale: “Everything must go!”

I wonder why that is…

Exploratory whack to see if it’s an edible creature who moves?

I must say, his Lordship is getting quite round, especially in the first picture. He most definitely eats very well and it shows, lol. He’s not doing his job if he doesn’t knock something down off the printer.

It’s funny that he’s at all porky. He’s finicky and nibbles like a bird.

He could be in the fridge at night, with cats you never know. I’ve put Charlie on a diet as he’s weighing in at 26 1/2 pounds.

This is why I don’t have a printer.
(Actually, it’s got nothing to do with why I don’t have a printer. Cats are always going to find something to sit on that they shouldn’t.)

His Lordship is very good and doesn’t jump on table or counters, but when I’m on the computer? All bets are off and attention must be paid…

He knows he can get away with it.

He does. The little devil…

This is your fault. You named him ‘Lord Dudley’, now you must honor his presence even while on the printer.
