Another first for me.

I started playing Wordle when it first came out in ‘21 … and then stopped.

But I added the NYT app to my phone a few months ago and have picked it back up as a daily habit.

I’m good, and have a 100% solve rate… but I’ve never solved it in just one guess.

Until this morning.

(I’ve done it in two a couple of times, but I always pick a word I’ve just heard on the radio or TV immediately before I play.)

Nice. Out of 922 games played and a 90% success rate, I got Wordle in 1 five times. 😁

It will never happen for me, because I use the same starter word every time and it was already used early on (back when I used a different word). Well done!

Sounds impressive! I have never played Wordle, and I never intend to start. I have been a game player all my life (i still play Sudoku every day!) but it is time to give my competitive streak a break. I don’t care how many moves it takes to solve a Sudoku puzzle, and I never try to find out if I am sliwer or faster than anyone else. I actually play the game strictly for fun. I have never done that before in my life. Now I am truly retired!
