.
It’s bad enough Covid stole my birthday celebration.
And our Christmas vacation trip.
And Christmas.
But this popped up in my notifications the other day and was the giant turd on top of my rancid cake.
.

.
Somewhere, somehow I lost a day.
Me!
The woman who posts everyday.
The weirdo who used to post twice a day.
The dedicated blogger whose previous streak was over 1,500!
Damn it.
Covid sucks.
😡
.
You can still post something for that missing day! It’s not too late.

Yes, but my nice long streak is broken.

We could call it a word press glitch. For all you know, it was! I get it about the steak, though. It’s important to me as well.

Arg!! The worst Covid side effect you’ve experienced! I’m so sorry for your loss.

Thank you.
I’m still trying to process the tragedy…

I can’t even come up with an equivalent loss to start my comment with. A runner messing up a multi-year running streak by accident? I dunno, no one runs a thousand days in a row. You were the queen. You will once again regain that streak though. Have faith.

Tears weren’t necessary, but it would have been nice to be missed.

I’m still having mild issues, causing me to think that my food poisoning might actually be norovirus. I only know that I’M SO HUNGRY!!

Ugh. That’s not good news either…

Well, it was a leap year, so you can still say you posted 365 days in 2024…

I feel (a little) better now…

I noticed that – I can always count on you to have something to read with my breakfast!

I just went through the ‘archives’ and unless I am mistaken, which is a good possibility, there is no post for Dec. 7…? I do miss your twice daily posts tho…

I think I started posting twice a day at the beginning of the pandemic out of housebound boredom. It wasn’t sustainable. My life just isn’t that interesting…

That was an AMAZING streak. Kudos to you.

It means absolutely nothing in the scheme of things, but I liked seeing it every day.

Couldn’t handle a post a day. Used to post twice a week. Now that I am back, once a week is good enough – but hey, you do a great job, even with Covid.

Disclaimer- I schedule about a week ahead, unless the post is time sensitive.

Despite M’s assertion, I did in fact realize you had missed a day. That’s when I knew something was askew. My Wordle streak is up to 538 games and I will be devastated if/when that comes to an end, so I do feel your pain.

Me… missing a day. I must have been closer to death than I thought.

The only streak I’ll lay claim to is waking up. I’ve done that for over 25,000 consecutive days. When my streak ends, you won’t see a comment or a posting from me.

On the bright side, you are no longer missing days, but very much alive and blogging.

Bummer! The hits just keep coming.
Are you guys feeling any better? So sorry you’re going through this.

Yes. A bit of lingering fatigue for me and a nagging cough for my husband, but otherwise we’re fine.

And to add insult to injury, they chose to reward 13 days. Not 12, not 14. The satanic number!

Well, I’ve missed so much. I’m so sorry Covid buggered up your Christmas/New Year/Birthday. I hope you’re getting over it now, but hell, I’ll read on and find out.
