Well, I finally got around to baking that bread and it was fabulous.

Crusty and dense,…. with a big slab of butter, it was almost a meal in itself.

Our recent dusting of snow left evidence of critter visitation overnight.

  2. I think my house is a beacon for the neighborhood cats. In the last month, I’ve had three cats that I don’t know come to my house, one has made my backyard his/her home. Mind you Charlie and Wayne are not too keen on sharing their territory with a new feline. And I’m not keen on having yet another neighborhood cat come and claim my yard as their residence either. My neighbors, the retirees have complained to me about “my cats” because she says they poop all over her rose bushes. That’s the only time she’s ever bothered to talk to me in the three and half years since I bought my house. But that’s an entire post on its own. So, I’m a cat person and I LOVE my cats but I don’t love my neighbors….lol.

  3. Beer is, essentially, liquid bread, so why not combine the two? Since you feed yeast to beer, why not complete the circle and feed beer to your yeast? It also makes the kitchen smell good.

    Thanks for reprinting the tax charts. The more people see these, the better.

  10. Nothing like seeing once again just how shitty life is. Combined my wife and I are above the poorest of the poor but on the higher end and close to being lower middle class) our tax return was the lowest it has ever been going on 12 yrs married)

  13. The tax chart is so upsetting that I had to scroll up to the cat decision tree and photo of Lord Dudley just to lower my blood pressure. Everyone reading this: get 2 if you can! Wasn’t what I planned, but best decision ever. Yesterday I came across a funny meme that said: The cat owns the house. That’s why the word HOMEOWNER has MEOW in it.
