It will be hard to say goodbye to our old mattress that’s served us well for an unbelievable 39 years.

But stretching out on this handmade beauty was almost a spiritual experience.

Firm, but soft… if that makes sense.

And while I know this one won’t last nearly as long as our first..

I’m looking forward to the change.

And though the furniture store hopping drove my less than patient husband nuts, it paid off in the end as I found a family run store that was celebrating its 70th anniversary with a 25% off sale on mattresses.
Delivery in 3 weeks.

We try to shop locally when we can. And ironically all the furniture purchases we’ve made that way in the past few years have been less expensive than the large retailers.

We have an Aireloom! The plushiest top of the line one, with the pillow top. Never thought we’d pay as much as we did for it, LOL. But absolutely worth it.

Oh, that’s good to hear! We didn’t go with the pillow top as I like a firmer sleep, but even their firm is luxuriant.

Based on some of your past shopping ordeals, here’s hoping you can get the mattress through the front door without having to remove it from the hinges and sandpaper a bigger opening.

I can’t believe you’ve had the same mattress for so long and I’m wondering if I should call in a well-check. There’s no way that bed was comfortable….I mean, it probably was to you, but you’ve not had anything better to compare it to. I can’t wait for your new bed and see if your mind is blown.
