Random blather.

The following is a sunset over our neighbor’s gigantic greenhouses.

We’re getting used to them, but that doesn’t mean we’re happy about it.

Preach.

May is a beautiful time of year. The grass is green and the birds are orange.

Baltimore Orioles fly in for about a month on their migration north so I make sure they have ample oranges and grape jelly.

These are for Mark.

Because they all feature his favorite fruit.

The man likes Spam, but not watermelon.

That’s just wrong.

Our nightly raccoon .

My husband had one as a pet when he was a child.

It’s very tempting..

  1. I only get raccoons at night (and oddly few of those this year). If I had them in light, like you, I’d have to do the cotton candy prank (cotton candy near a bowl of water. They try to wash it and it disolves/disappears.)

Meh on the margarita pops… if they can freeze solid, the alcohol is too little to bother.

I’d try the watermelon sticks. Well, I’d try the flavors together (I think lime + watermelon works; not sure about coconut + waternelon)… making sticks/fries would be too much bother for me.

    1. Our raccoons always showed up after dark but now they’ve realized they have to come a little earlier in order to beat the skunks and fox to the food. Cotton candy and water! Funny…

  2. One time I had a really good watermelon dish. We were at a pub in Portland and they had an appetizer of watermelon rubbed with serrano peppers and topped with crumbled feta. That was amazing!
