Random nonsense.

.

It’s tough being a cat with parts that just don’t fit.

.

.

Granted he could have moved to the left a bit…

.

.

But why waste all that energy.

😉

.

.

Fess up, I know you have some.

My bowl set is that lovely 😳 mushroom pattern from the ‘80’s on the bottom row, second from the left.

They’re ugly, but indestructible.

.

.

We’re getting new carpet in our den and office next week which involves a week’s worth of emptying closets, desks, shelves etc…. Ugh.

It’s a massive amount of work but a good excuse to clean and get rid of things I no longer need. Like six tubs of acrylic paint, sealant and brushes…

.

.

And a tub of cross stitching books, hoops and material.

Yes, once upon a time I was crafty.

Those days are gone.

.

.

I don’t mind a nice kosher dill spear now and then, but pickle pot roast?

Hard pass.

🤢

.

.

See? Hummingbirds can feed in the rain, without an umbrella.

Who knew?

😉

Mark, this next one is for you… and I have only two words.

.

.

Goth.

Flamingos.

You’re welcome.

💀

  1. I have old pyrex bowls but they are solid colors – no patterns. I kinda like weird lawn decorations but – goth flamingos? – Nah – I have never understood the whole skeleton thing…When we rented a house with front and back lawns I did the pink flamingo thing on the front lawn.

    1. My bowls were the first thing I bought when I married my husband and moved into his home. We shopped at the base exchange and it was the only kind they had.
I married a man who lived in a house without a single bowl.
      How is that possible?
      🤣

      1. He never ate at home?

Why not pyrex – they are practically indestructible – and pretty but then I like color…Somewhere recently I read that there are now two ‘grades’ of pyrex – the old indestructible and a lesser quality and that you can tell the difference by the way ‘pyrex’ is printed on the bottom. Why would a company do that?

  2. Wow – I didn’t know there were so many Pyrex offerings. I have the Town and Country. I know what you mean about crafting … at some point I had to face the fact my days of crafting are long past! For some reason the pickles with pot roast sounds good. No, I’m not pregnant!

  3. Ah yes, my moms Pyrex is/was the Butterfly Gold. I say is/was because throughout the years some of them have disappeared because she’d send something home with someone and never saw it again. I wish I was crafty, okay I am but not in the “create things” sense of the word. More like crafty in attitude, lol. That pickle pot roast doesn’t look appetizing what so ever. Maybe it’s a take on the Mississippi pot roast with the pepperoncini’s, now that’s a great pot roast. I love those flamingoes, I should have had them out on the lawn when ICE came to visit a few weeks ago…..lol.

    1. Ah, the ‘70’s. Gold, burnt orange and olive green. Most of it was awful but still getter than this annoyingly bland grey trend.
I used to be very crafty. Dry brushed ceramics, cross stitching, stationary stamping, dried flower arranging etc. Now? I couldn’t care less.
      🤣

      1. I might have a genuine pyrex measuring cup. I have Corningware, but seriously never saw Pyrexware, other than maybe a clear rectangle pan. Or maybe I saw it and thought it was Corningware.

  4. I’m so ashamed! 😩 I’m so lazy! I fully intend to get started posting here on a regular basis. I have all these great ideas floating around in my head. There are just wayyyyyy too many fun things to do! Great Post!!!

  5. I have that same Pyrex screen shot on my phone. While moving my FIL, he has one of the older vintage ones from the 80’s and had no idea they were so collectible.

I understand the Lord’s feeling…sometimes we just don’t fit, so we can’t sit.

    Pickled pot roast? I’ll pass!
