Another day of oddly high viewing stats (almost 700!) had me stepping back in time again and reading old posts.
This one is about my relationship with lobster and the cruel twists of life.

Take a gander, since you’re here.

Oh. Very awkward and hard that. I feel for you. Especially when it has been something you loved to eat.

Of all the things I have to come up allergic to. Nothing else, just that. I can eat crab, scallops, clams, etc.

It’s pure torture watching everyone else eat them.

I just don’t understand how crap like that happens, seriously. As a kid and teen, I was allergic to eggplant and LOVED eggplant parmigiana. But couldn’t eat it, the inside of my mouth would get itchy and red and my neck (nothing else) would break out in hives. So like you, I avoided eggplant parm and would just hate everyone who ate it in my presence. Then one day, at the age of 32, I decided to have a bite of my sons eggplant parm because I had to taste it since it had been years and was willing to endure the consequences, I no longer had an allergic reaction. Why do our bodies so shit like that? We’re allergic, we’re not allergic, like what the literal hell!? I’m sorry your a spectator now to the lobster you love 🦞.

I unknowingly ate a stuffed haddock that had lobster in it a few years ago. The result was not pretty…. so sadly, my allergy is still in full force.

I had crazy stats for a while and I’m pretty sure it was advanced bots from China.

I can’t like that post for some reason. Every now and then I get a bump from Instagram – of all places – which I am not that active on. I can live with lobster but if I developed a crab allergy …. oh my. Not good.

I love my crab as well, thankfully I can still eat that.

The Chips are “Artificially Flavored ” so can you still eat them?

Maybe. But I didn’t take the chance…

It is just bonkers how one food product triggers someone while someone else can gorge on it. Bizarre.

And why is it always something good? I wouldn’t be barking if I came up allergic to kale.

FYI, if you set the link to open in a new tab, readers will stay on your original page and get to visit the linked one. That’ll help boost your stats too!

The Husband has always wanted to return to Maine (though he’s vegetarian now so going there might be an exercise in torture), but those Lays Potato Chips? He’d be down for some of those! I know that post was several years old, but that flavor still hasn’t migrated to Minnesota.

I think it was a one time thing. I’ve never seen them again…
