Random drivel.

.

Before walking to the mailbox yesterday, I was unaware a voting report card even existed.

.

.

But huzzah!

I think I got an A.

And if there’s anything better than walking into your local grocery store and finding the Kool Aid man wearing a hat full of handmade hedgehogs?

.

.

I’m sure I don’t know what it is.

Now, I don’t claim to be the brightest bulb in the pack…

.

.

But I’m not so dim that I get easily confused by plaid. (Unless I’m throwing back shots. When that happens, I can barely figure out how to open my purse.)

And finally, Maine.

We rarely make the top of any list unless it’s moose or lobster centric so I was quite pleased to see we were number 2 in the fewest amount of Covid cases from June to mid October.

.

.

In case you don’t see your state, here’s the other half of the list.

.

.

North Dakota is the worst in the nation?

I admit that surprised me.

  1. Melbourne case numbers are between Illinois and California. We’ve just come out of 111 days of strict lockdown. School is back, we can visit family and friends, the economy is open again… all under still very strict measures.
So Maine sitting at number two? Definitely brag-worthy.

    1. Well, our hospitalizations and death rates are low also. Our Governor was aggressive at the beginning and that helped. Slow openings and cancelled big events, it all adds up to good news.

      1. Whatever. After seeing the clusterfuck that is the reporting from our health department, I do not trust the numbers without going through them with a fine-toothed comb. Our numbers have multiple-testing of the same individual(s), positives of people who never got tested, and they continue to report hospitalizations and deaths in cumulative fashion instead of breaking them down from actual occurrence. Nevermind calling deaths Covid when they probably died from something else. Can’t keep people afraid if you tell the truth.🤷‍♀️

  2. Didn’t North Dakota have some rally or motorcycle meeting recently?
We are ‘only’ the second highest–whew!! And our Trump puppet governor insists in everything be open from schools to bars!!
I love the ‘slightly’ democrat!!! LOL

    1. Yes, the annual Sturgis rally. Not a mask wearing crowd I’m sure. Maine is open, but restaurants and bars only at half capacity. We’re so seasonal a lot of places close down Oct. 31rst anyway.

  3. Indiana is red af, always, so yeah, we’ll take our plague hand-breaded and deep fried with cornbread and a slice of persimmon pie.
I see the same seven people every day for seven months, hm?
