.
Birds.
You never know who’ll show up.
.
.
Turkeys on Thanksgiving Day? That takes balls.
.
.
They’re even pushing the envelope by ripping up every scrap of weed block landscaping paper I laid under our tree.
.
.
And blue jays.
.
.
All of a sudden, a large flock of blue jays.
.
.
There were blue jays everywhere.
.
.
And the greedy little devils wiped out four feeders in no time flat.
.
.
Birds.
Sometimes annoying, but always photo worthy.
.
.
looks like the turkeys had an easy, uneventful Thanksgiving!!!

I got 100% on the bird ID test!
The jays are beautiful. Can’t say the same for the turkeys.
Hope your Thanksgiving Day is full of fabulous food and fun feathered friends.

Jays are pretty things, shame they’re such bullies to the smaller birds. Our Thanksgiving was just the two of us… and a 16 pounder for lots of leftovers.

You could hang your turkey’s carcass out as a warning.

That seems a trifle harsh….

Happy Thanksgiving. They rested easy this holiday, the turkeys! Vegetarians are blooming where they are planted.

These birds have it made. A constant supply of food and no chance of an oven.

I’d say they’re brave souls, but I think they all know this is a safe zone.

I can’t identify Lady Bird Johnson in that photo. I want my money back.

My dad used to shoo away blue jays when they’d start being bullies. He always had a soft spot for the little birds.

Turkey! It’s what’s for dinner.
And lunch.
And maybe breakfast….

Thank you for the handy identification chart at the end. I don’t know how I’ve made it this far in life without one… 😉
