And they’re cute as a button.

I’m not sure if they’re actually living under the barn this year, or momma just brings them in for a nosh now and then.

But I enjoy watching the little devils munch either way.

When they have plentiful food, they usually have one burrow. I suspect that the entrance is under the shed. Sometimes they might extend a ‘pop’ burrow out from the main borrow, and leave it plugged. You might be walking out on the grass and all the sudden your foot goes into the pop burrow …

They’ve tunneled under the wood shed, the attached storage room and the baby barn. It’s their subway system to the buffet under the bird feeders.
