Lord Dudley Mountcatten is a very odd bird. His latest quirk?
.

.
Purposely taking a mouthful of dry food out of his bowl and dropping it on the floor.
.

.
And then eating it.
Apparently this is a protest against the food delivery system.. though why it’s begun after nearly a year I haven’t a clue.
.

.
What is he doing in this photo? Staring up at the china hutch. For a solid 15 minutes.
Why? Your guess is as good as mine.
And while he’s definitely a weirdo, he’s also a very good cat. He doesn’t scratch the furniture, howl at odd hours, jump on the kitchen counters or push you off the pillow at night.
And while he’s allowed on the couches, chairs and beds … he’s not allowed on the tables, bureaus and desks. This ban also goes for the husband’s antique radio…
.

.
Though now that’s it’s too cold to open his favorite bird watching window, this rule has been a challenge to enforce.
.

.
Especially when he gives you that, ‘yeah I’m up here. What are you going to do about it?’ look.
.
tell me about the antique radio?

It’s a top of the line Majestic, walnut case. And believe it or not the husband found tubes for it so it works…

Ya. I had about 40 of those tube radios and hundreds of tubes for them.
I only have a few left. Can’t wait for them to go.

We have two others in the basement. Sold a few a while back. I told the husband he hooks only have one in the house and this was the nicest.

So you just tell him to stay off the table and he obeys? You sure he is a cat?

A water pistol was employed when he first moved in.
His Lordship does not enjoy being damp.

Cat owners who have felines that don’t climb kitchen counters are blessed. Even though cats have attitude (as his Lordship is definitely stating by his stare in that picture) those that don’t jump onto tables and counters a few and far between. Charlie doesn’t do that either, but like Sir Dudley he give me attitude about everything else.

He’s never even tried to jump on the kitchen counters. We’re truly blessed…

I’m blessed too apparently. Though Sydney does do the shoving-off-the-pillow thing, so not completely blessed.

When it comes to cats, half blessed is blessed indeed.

His Lordship is probably staring up at the china hutch because he’s wondering why you don’t serve his food on your best china, as befits a Lord.

I wouldn’t doubt that!

I find weirdos, even weird cats, are my best companions. My Finley girl brings her kibble to the carpet to eat it. I’ve always wondered why? 😊

Most of our cats have been weirdos. Not sure if that’s a commentary on them… or us.

My dog is weird too~quirky sounds better~but she’s just like me! Or I’m like her? Lol 😂

My doggy does that too. Maybe they don’t want more than one piece in their mouth at a time, or they don’t like the smell, but can deal with the taste?

Nah. I think it’s just to annoy us.

He’s a funny cat.
My daughter Lindsay has a beautiful gray cat and he also takes his food out of his bowl, drops it on the floor, and then eats it.
When we had cats, it was hard keeping them off my glass dining room table; it used to make me crazy!

Good to know mine isn’t the only weirdo.
