Sometimes it wants to come in the house…
.

.
Sometimes it makes it past the storm door.
.

.
I got a kick out of this picture our neighbor posted of her son wanting to go out the back door yesterday.
.

.
Now that’s a drift!
.

.
Walking out to check on the man cave after the Nor Easter was challenging.
.

.
You had to guess where the steps were.
.

.
Drift crests on every side.
.

.
And the porch furniture didn’t look quite as inviting as before.
.

.
A tunnel dug to make passage less of an aerobic exercise.
.

.
But the best part about snow pictures?
When your husband asks for your phone to take a shot of something fantastic and it comes back with five of these….
.

.
Well, he tried.
🤣
.
Amazing! Wow, I know it’d be colder than I have ever experienced, but I hope to experience something like that someday. As for your hubby, he may not have captured whatever was photo material, but he did an excellent self portrait. His dignity and goodness shines through. I think you should have it framed.

Framed. Heck, I don’t even print pictures anymore. Does anyone…? But it was a cute surprise.

Yes… I occasionally get pics printed, though mainly due to freebie offers.
I quite like Shutterfly photo books… even with customization they’re easy to make and a nice way to have a tangible photo collection.

It’s funny because I used to be photo crazy and printed everything. I have albums stacked everywhere, but now I’m all digital.

I did that too. But after getting some freebies, I started enjoying having some prints around. A few yrs back I got prints of my departed cats for my Dia de los Muertos altar .

Here in the UK…if we have a sprinkling of snow…we come to a complete standstill. We all ring in to work and tell them it is not safe to travel, and then we go outside and try to build a snowman with half a centimetre of snow!

It was like that when we lived down south. No one knows what to do with it…

I’ve seen snowdrifts like that… when I was five and living in Maine…

Come on back, they’re still here.

That’s a lot of snow, and a lot of work. I hope the keg was still working once he got inside.

It really does look pretty. Do you have a snowblower/mover/scraper to make the nice and clean path?
Love the snow selfie!

Yes. We have a big Ariens blower, which the husband only uses when it’s over a foot.

We have a game here in the Midwest called “Let’s guess where the highway is…..”

Fun, if a tad dangerous. We play that as well…

I hope not. Every selfie I have ever taken was fantastic. Why? The subject. Please tell me he did that on purpose and didn’t have the camera reversed. PLEASE..

Oh, no…. it was a total mistake. And I never did find out what was fantastic.

WOW. Illinois is getting 24 inches this week. Thankfully, it’s south of us. 🙂

Yes, thus next storm seems to be centered on the middle of the country. They’re calling for 3-6 inches here.

Wow….snow, what’s that? Lol
I’ve never in my life have dealt with that much snow. But it’s beautiful and it sticks around for more than one day. That’s so cute of the Hubs taking a selfie AND he’s smiling…sort of, lol.

I’m not sure how long this batch will stick around, it’s supposed to be 42 degrees on Thursday.
The selfies weren’t on purpose, so if he’s smiling that’s not on purpose either.

Yep, definitely snow. Lots of it. I grew up in a place where we had snow like that. Yes, that’s snow…

Oh, the challenges of snow! I have to say though, that is one sweet tunnel. The edges are so sharp you could cut paper on them. Well done! 🤣
Plus, you are getting a nice cornice build up on the right side. Usually only see that on mountain tops.

That was an added bonus. Sad to say it’s all melting today with crazy high temps. But they’re calling for 6 inches tomorrow….
😊

So, just enough melt to cause a nice ice build up, then more snow to hide the ice, right? 🙂
LikeLiked by 1 person
It melted all day and is currently raining. Next up is sleet for tomorrow morning, then solid ice when the temps drop. Good times. Not!
