Right after the war my dad had a Ford coup with a rumble seat … it was really a treat to ride around in it …

There are tiny steps that are on the fenders … you can see one on this picture just below the license plate, and another one directly across on the other one.
Step on the bumper, step on the foot pad, swing your foot into the well and push your body in … you seldom saw the elderly in them!

The Rumble seat is iconic in the car world, but could you imagine the exhaust smell? Might just take the romance out of the ride.
