Our days of raucously ringing in the New Year are in the rear view mirror (as are the hangovers thank god)…. and more than likely, yours truly will be tucked into bed at midnight when 2023 comes sliding in.
No parties, no funny hats, no noise makers, no watching the ball drop.
Unless it’s this kind of ball and Lord Dudley is responsible.

We’re going out for a nice meal and quiet drink (or two) this afternoon… then popcorn and a movie at home will round out the end of the year for us.
But however you choose to celebrate, here’s hoping you have a wonderful night and a happy, healthy New Year!
❤️

I’m right there with you, I’ll be I bed fas asleep by the time New Years hits. Unless the asshole neighbor three blocks away decides to blast his horrible Mexican music all night. That dudes a douchecanoe and most of the neighborhood want to vote him off the island 🤬. Happy New Year River 🥂. Here’s to another year of blogging 🍾.

I do not miss living in close proximity to other people. We never hear, and rarely see unless we want to..… our neighbors. It’s perfect!
And a very Happy New Year to you as well.

Here, here! I’m going to drug a couple of our pups as well about 9 p.m. We’re also in Texas….last year, it wasn’t bad, but the year before was a nightmare. I’m really hoping this evening that things stay fairly quiet. We’ll see. Happy New Year!

Our celebration will be low key.
It will include chocolate ~> chocolate ensures good luck in the new year.
Have a Happy!

Same. There’s Juniors hockey on tv which probably ends hours before midnight and I can guarantee you the hockeymom and hockeygrandma in THIS house are both NOT staying up to see some ball drop. We watch pucks, not balls. 😛
Happy New Year to you and yours!

Celebrate! What’s that? Gail will be in bed reading. I will be up writing or something, but I won’t have any idea time it is with mo clock in the room.
New Year’s? Just another day for us. Like yesterday. Like most tomorrows.

I’m on my own tonight, but I won’t be up to any shenanigans. It will be a movie night here, too, and maybe a whiskey…and hopefully very few fireworks 🎆 Husband will be getting home about 2 a.m. from Colorado. Best wishes for a very happy New Year!

Happy New Year to you and The Mister! We haven’t gone out in years and prefer to be home as well.
I just took a hot shower (my last for this year) and put on my comfy PJ’s…gonna settle in on the couch with a glass of wine and I’m a happy camper. See you next year. 😉

Posting at 12:20. Italian sub for dinner with a beer to wash it down. Ball drop? whoop. The kiss was worth staying up for.

A very happy, prosperous and healthy new year to you, hubby and Lord Dudley.
Like you our night was quiet. Just the two of us and tucked into bed before midnight.

You can’t argue with a good nights sleep for ringing in the New Year.

No need to guess the age demographic of your readers! Happy New year to you and yours. I too was in bed well before midnight, but some tosser was letting off crackers at about 4am and my dog was freaking out for ages so I was busy trying to settle her down. So a sleepless night for me despite no partying. Bizarrely there was a couple that took their dog to the 9pm fireworks display but it was unfazed. I was bitching about their carelessness for nothing!

No fireworks here thankfully. Lord Dudley would not have been pleased either.
