      1. Yeah. I think it was actually a way for a fan to try to give Turcotte a better life without it looking like charity. Turcotte has been in a wheelchair sincs around 1980 after getting injured during a race accident. I don’t know what he did for an income after losing the ability to ride, but I doubt he was earning the kind of money he had been as a jockey. Hopefully now he can have a good final few years of life. Not saying he wasn’t having a good life already, but $2,000,000 should take away any financial worries he might have had.
