  1. We have orange lilies, tiger lilies 20 years ago but the brown has mostly disappeared. They are like 8″ tall and have 10 to 15 flowers per plant. I would have posted a picture, but they too are gone now. But they last about 10 days usually.

    1. Yes, tigers last longer than day. I had a large garden full of different varieties of lilies years ago but the lily beetles found them and decimated the crop in a few years. Nasty little buggers…

      1. Hopefully it is too cold for the bugs up here. These lilies were here before we bought the house, and I have dug them up and moved them a few times — there is a huge maple bush covering where they used to be. The maple bush was kinda there before we moved here too, along with the elm and the Russian Olive. Except, the maple bush was only a possibility, as it kept getting mowed down to ground level. I mowed it down the first summer here, but the second year I decided to let it grow. Now it is a beautiful bush, easily 15′ long, 10′ tall, and 6′ wide. It turns bright red in fall until all the leaves fall off. Red is not a common colour for trees or bushes up here, most things turn yellow in fall. Maybe I will get a good picture this year and put it on my blog. We have the brightest back yard in town come autumn.

  2. It took me until a few years ago to realize that daylilies only last a day. *palm to face*
They’re one of those enjoy them while they last kind of beauties.
