Marry me.

.

No, I’m not proposing…

Although after all these years my husband might be more than willing to share the pleasure of my company.

No, I’m simply sharing a recipe called Marry Me Chicken.

.

.

This sounded yummy so I gave it a spin.

.

.

Mine didn’t look anywhere near as brown so maybe I didn’t sear the meat long enough… but let me tell you it was damn tasty all the same.

.

.

I did add a bit of flour to the sauce at the end since it was too thin for my taste, but this is a keeper.

Instructions are a little vague, but don’t be afraid to be heavy handed with the seasoning and tomatoes. .

👍

  1. I don’t know. I think I told you Dill Chicken is a new favourite on our regular menu. It inspired me to try thin dill pickle coins on meat pizza. Now I can’t eat pizza (except bacon and pinespple) without it. I’ll msrry sny woman who enjoys Dill Chicken with me, but she hss to ask.

      1. The other dsy I was sharing watermelon with some friends (seeded, not seedless) and I offered sslt to go with it. People lookd at me like I was crazy. I told them I used to think the ssme, until I tried it. One outright refused, that’s sacrilege! Another ssid she had tried it and didn’t like it. (Both female!) But first one guy tried it, and liked it. So the other guy tried it. He loved it.
The moral of the story, don’t knock it till you try it. Hot dill coins on pizza are fantabulous!
The other day I had pizza at a restaurant. The restaurant had no dill pickles, they said. Since my partner wanted pizza, we ordered it anyway. Both of us decided it was the most boring pizza ever, and this used to be our favourite pizza place. If they don’t get dill pickles, we will never eat there again!

      2. It sounds like you’ll have to carry your own jar of dill slices from now on. I know quite a few people who put salt on watermelon. I’ve tried it, but prefer it without.

  2. This does look great. I love grilling chicken thighs, so I know I’d like this. Sadly, I’d have to skip the butter (olive oil works usually) and I’d probably skip or lessen the cheese…I think it would still be great!
