Well, I’m not yet. But it looks like I’m going to be because every single furniture store I’ve shopped is dedicated to that color.
.

.
I’m looking for two couches, a chair and an ottoman in this hardback, rolled arm style. The couches will be solid, the chair and pillows a coordinating pattern.
.

.
All the floor samples are beige, which is fine… it’s not like I want neon orange. But the decided lack of color in the fabric choices is driving me batty.
.

.
The fabrics are pretty…
.

.
But I swear they’re all blue and grey.
.

.
Everywhere.
.

.
At every store.
.

.
My kitchen and breakfast nook are blue and grey.
My den is blue and beige.
My spare bathroom is blue and grey.
Which is why my living room has always been green.
.

.
But it looks like that’s not happening this time around.
.

.
I’m going to be blue.
.
Blue it is the new orange, or black. Go with it. It will improve the quality of your drinking time.

I’m not sure I need any encouragement in that area….

My neighbor does amazing work as an upholster if you find a great old set and she has amazing fabric choices and hardly does blue items 🙂

Good to know. Thanks!

Have you tried a patriotic furniture store? At least, they should have some red and white along with the blue. 😀

It stinks that some random trendsetter has decided that those colors are “in.” We’re a hostage to them!

I haven’t had fabric covered furniture in over 40 years – aside from that horrendous red plaid L-shaped sofa a boy friend moved into my apartment – was so glad to see them both go…

If not fabric… what.
Leather?

Yes, leather. If memory serves me correctly I got my first leather sofa around 1980. Prior to that my apartments were too small for sofas LOL

Yeah, I feel you. Give me a freaking choice people!! If I want a red sofa, then damnit, it will be red! I hate that there is a lack of color palate for furniture choices. For the record, my Ashley sofas are a cobalt blue, but because I bought them from a friend when I first bought my house. And they were well taken care of, as well affordable at that. But, if I had my choice I’d buy a red sofa set, but I’d like to have that available to me, right?

I’m afraid red isn’t available these days either.

I feel your pain. When I was looking to decorate my current place I needed a new, smaller living room rug. Everything local was gray or beige or gray AND beige. I had to search long and hard online for anything with colour because the brick and mortar stores had NOTHING for me.

It’s ridiculous.
Not everyone wants the same colors…

At first I thought all your photos had had a filter applied. Not you’re not joking – all those sofas are the same! I believe trends in furniture are slow to change, too. Best wishes there. (My last sofa was red.)

One of the salespeople told me furniture trends are a few months behind clothing.
I’m almost afraid…

Yep. Sone nice bright colours would be wonderful.

I haven’t found any yet….

If the lounge is comfy, maybe go for bright throw rugs and armrest covers. Then you can change the look. Don’t be forced to follow fashion. There’s got to be alternatives. Maybe hubby’s got some upholstery fabric stashed somewhere? 😁

Hubby never has anything useful stashed. And the way things are going it will be well into the New Year before I’m ready to buy so maybe colors will change…

As a guy with a blue couch and blue recliners, I can’t say I’m the least bit surprised.

And if that’s what you wanted? It’s fabulous…

I think we went in with an open mind and just genuinely liked those shades of color. But I am pro-choice, of course!
