Our new flooring is (90%) done so I thought you might like to see a few before and afters.
Keep in mind the before shots don’t show how truly terrible and worn out the old Berber carpet really was.

Some of these after pictures don’t do it justice as the true color is hard to capture. It’s not as dark as it looks in some and has a much warmer tone in person.

It looks great. But I can imagine how difficult taking these photos were, to show how you see it.

The camera always alters the color slightly…

I know in the past when I have tried to take a photo of inside my home, I have never been able to take it how I see it.

Damn! You could set some pins up in the fireplace and go bowling in there.

That camera angle is a bit extreme.
Candle pin bowling, maybe.

Amazing! Re-doing the floor even made the end table lighter!

You can thank the morning sun for that.

The flooring makes things pop and look less crowded. Carpet looks dark and claustrophobic looks great

The “after” pics are nice and bright. Happy even. BUT come on, Rg, a Flying Pith with Sitting Ducks? A definite study in juxtaposition.

Ha!
Does it help that they’re actually loons….

Nope. I’ll admit I just gave a quick glance, but the combination of Flying Pig and Sitting Ducks was too good to pass up. 😇

On the contrary, those pics do it plenty of justice. I absolutely love the “after” shots! Great choice on the flooring.

Wow, the new flooring is so alive! It’s like you brought the forest in to your house. I guess you did, but this really feels woodsy. I love it! Do you do a double take when you walk in?

It’s taking some getting used to. I swear it looks different in every picture and every different light.

If my floor starts growing leaves vacuuming will be a challenge…

What a nice update!! I imagine you still get a little *shock* when you walk in there after seeing the carpet for so many years.
Most importantly: How does The Lord like the new floors?

He was reticent at first but now he likes to skid across them chasing his catnip mice.
