I have a lot of sterling silver earrings and I love them all.
.

.
What I don’t love is polishing them.
.
.

.
And since I keep them on an open tree….
.

.
Keeping them tarnish free is a never ending and challenging chore.
.

.
Made even more so when I run out of cleaning solution and am down to the dregs.

I only wear silver jewelry (or white gold) and it is a total PITA keeping it looking good, especially since I rarely wear jewelry (aside from earrings every day and my wedding band). By chance I discovered that a super soft toothbrush and dish soap cleans my silver jewelry brilliantly. I pour a little dish soap on the item then do a little brush-brush then dry with a microfiber cloth and voila – shiny. (I don’t know if the microfiber cloth helps but they are the only kind I have.)

That’s interesting… may have to try it.

It’s not totally effective on heavily tarnished silver but it will make a dent in it – lightly tarnished comes out beautifully and the very soft toothbrush gets into all the nooks and crannies.

That’s what I love about the liquid. You dip it in and it hits all the unreachable parts.

I have found, since moving to a coastal environment, that my silver jewellery tarnishes at an astonishing rate. I never had to polish my silver as frequently as I do now. Still worth living here though 😉.

Can’t help – I don’t think I own any silver earrings.

Is that Soda your using?

No. It’s a liquid silver cleaner I buy at the jewelers..

You’ve quite the collection! I’m impressed.
I remember someone telling me that you have to either wear it, or keep it in a plastic bag to keep it from tarnishing. Can you send me a picture of you wearing alllll the earrings at once. 🤣🤣🤣

No.
I can not….
Probably because half of them would be tarnished before I got them on.
