I suffered a major loss recently when I discovered my absolutely favorite cocktail bar had gone belly up. The Blind Pig… with their amazing 10 page menu of creative alcoholic delights… has morphed into an Italian restaurant. Same owners, yes.

The decor is similar…

But the cocktail list pales in comparison.

The food was good…

The atmosphere pleasant…
.
.
But even the funky silver fish wine decanter can’t make up the loss of my beloved artisan cocktails.

I love your sunset photos and your backyard complete with deer. Quite the contrast to my backyard of cacti and desert plants. But we do get an occasional deer.

Did you ask about getting your fave cocktails anyway? If the staff is the same, they should be able to make them off menu!

I did, but the old version used to do infusions and make their own fruit purées…. They’re not doing that anymore.

When I upgraded my iPhone right before Australia, I lost a cocktail app (Mixologist, which no longer exists) that had scores of custom cocktail recipes I’d gathered over the years. I still haven’t recovered from that loss. 😭
