Our front porch remodel is now complete. New door, new stone siding, new ceiling, new posts, new railings, new decking, new light fixture.
Ka-Ching!
And while there were a few bumps along the way… I have to say we’re pleased with the results.
For someone who’d never worked with stone siding before, my husband did a good job.
As long as you don’t look too closely. 😉

Wow! What an improvement. We have stone siding on our house and the other day a big chunk fell down. We have no idea why.

It was an from an inset way high up on the front of our house. Now it’s beige stucco. So far, we’re leaving it, because it looks like it was meant to be!

The way our siding is configured the very top piece has to be affixed with construction adhesive … which, of course my husband didn’t do so I expect that to fall as well.

I like the width of the original sidelight but the new one is more balanced and much more elegant. Everything looks wonderful.

It looks really great. And if I’m not mistaken, a heckava lot less painful than a certain bedroom window replacement. Will you miss having a front screen door, d’ya think?

We thought about putting one on but it would have ruined the aesthetic. This door lets in a good bit of light so it will be fine.
