.
I’m all about the original series.
.

.
Just finished season 2 of Shrinking and it’s honestly one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. Heartwarming and laugh out loud funny with some the quickest, snarkiest dialogue you’re apt to find on television. If you liked Ted Lasso, you’ll love this. Yes, you need to subscribe to AppleTV, but trust me… it’s worth it.
.

.
As AppleTV is getting to roll out to season 2, I just jumped on board for season 1. Weird and creepy, the idea that this could be reality in the future is beyond disturbing,
.

.
I had high hopes for this. Behind the scenes at the CIA with a great cast, it’s full of spies and international intrigue but the characters aren’t really grabbing me like they should. My jury is still out.
.

.
Another home run from Taylor Sheridan. Rapid fire action in the Texas oil fields with the quirky Billy Bob Thornton nailing the lead role … it’s raw, raunchy fun and a pretty wild ride.
.

.
What can I say, if you’re into the world of Dune and enigmatic giant sand worms, you’ll love it.
.

.
Yes, I had to. I loved the original Dexter series and had high hopes for this prequel .. but after a few episodes? Meh. There’s something cheesy about this reboot that just doesn’t click with me no matter how hard they try. Disappointing, that.
.
these all look great. i’ve seen the first season of severance and part of shrinking. both are so good. i spied jeffrey wright in the spy show — will have to check that one out. the last tv series i enjoyed was young sheldon, which i immediately watched again. thanks for the great recommendations, river.

Apple TV. Yeah, I think I will pass. We have NETFLIX and PRIME, and we do not really need both of those. We gets lots of free stuff from TUBI, ROKU, and PLUTO. It can be overwhelming, and I once heard that ‘no matter how hungry a child is, if you put too much on their plate they will not eat’. You can direct apply that to streaming services. I know I may be missing some great shows by not getting Apple TV, Paramount+, Peacock and all the others, but I will just have to tuff-it-out.

I have Prime because I buy a lot books from Amazon. I only subscribe to AppleTV and Paramount+, that’s enough for me.

It is called “The Bayou Heist”, and is a detective mystery. She wrote under Eve Marie, and the publisher is Barringer Publications. It comes in a soft hardback, or Kindle. Thanks for asking.

I haven’t watched TV (real or streaming) in years. And it’s funny, because I just recently got chosen by Nielsen for the survey. They paid me a dollar to tell them I don’t watch TV. Apologies to all of the shows that will be canceled since my lone vote probably represents about one million households…

If they cancel one of mine, you’ll feel my wrath.

I loved Shrinking, and Severance was a wild ride. I’ve heard good things about Landman; we will get to it soon.
I just started Silo on Apple TV; the first two episodes drew me in, but it’s too soon to tell if it’s great or not. But like Severance, it’s weirdly disturbing and could it possibly be sharing glimpses of our future?

Silo is next in my queue!

YES to Landman! I’ve been meaning to mention it myself. It’s such a gripping and well-acted show. I will have to disagree with you on Dexter:Original Sin though. I’m a huge fan of the series and this one is clicking on all cylinders for me. The casting alone is fantastic. Looking forward to the reboot this summer!

They did a good job picking younger version actors fit the office characters, but Debra annoys me as a teenager and as much as I loved adult Dexter, younger Dexter isn’t doing it for me.

I’ve had Apple TV on and off – every time I buy a new device I get 3 months free. then I cancel before it goes into the pay category. I like Harrison Ford in Shrinking, the other characters are as annoying AF except for the guy who has the food truck, Ford’s girlfriend and the guy who killed his wife – them I all like. Anyway – if you would like to spend a delightful 35 minutes watch the movie “The Boy, the mole, the fox and the Horse” – it is beautiful visually and content wise. Unfortunately for me it is only available on Apple TV…

Loved Ted Lasso and hated Shrinking. The lack of professional ethics was alienating, but the worst was how awful a dad AND therapist the MC was and yet somehow he keeps failing upwards and getting forgiven when he makes the smallest effort. We recently binged “Nobody Wants This,” which we enjoyed. Spouse watches all the disturbing shows like Severance, Silo, and Outer Range while I try to ignore the sounds of violence.

I like a little bit of everything. Comedy, drama, romance, violence, sci fi etc..
If it’s well written, I’m in.

I’m looking forward to S2 of Severance. I hope they can maintain the quality!!
I’m 50/50 on Shrinking. I like it but am not hooked.
I started The Morning Show last week and the only reason I haven’t binged it is that the hour long episodes require full attention, and I’ve got little of that.
Ted Lasso is next.

The Morning Show had two great seasons, I wasn’t as thrilled with the third… but it was still good.
Loved Lasso , but then I love Shrinking too.

Thanks for the info. I haven’t watched the last ep of S1 of Morning but already wondered if they could keep up the quality.
