.
The very last thing we had to move to get ready for new flooring ?
Was the very worst, hands down.
.

.
Treadmills are big, and bulky, and heavy, and awkward as Hell to move.
Much thinking and strategizing went into the process.
.

.
Yes, the tread itself could be raised.
But it wouldn’t fit out the door… even with the door removed… in its entirety.
.

.
Which is when tools were employed and breakdown occurred.
.

.
Or tried to occur because try as they might… they couldn’t figure out how.
.

.
I spent the next half hour on the phone with Nordic track customer service… who, may I just say?
Suck the big root.
.

.
They didn’t help at all, and didn’t tell us anything we didn’t already know.
.

.
After a lot of hassle, the two parts were separated.
Kind of.
.

.
Annoyingly they were still connected by the electrical wires with no clips or disconnects in sight.
.

.
Which means the top half was precariously balanced on the bottom half and squiggled down the hall.
.

.
Turning was not fun.
.

.
And at one point the husband got stuck. Which, I’m ashamed to admit…
Was a little bit fun.
.

.
Placed on a sheet in front of the den couch is where it landed. Completely in the way of everything.
His Lordship?
.

.
He gave the treadmill a try.
.

.
But exercise isn’t his thing…
.

.
So he found a towel free cushion on which to shed more fur.
🥴
.
It is easier to travel a few miles and join a gym! Or walk down the road but I am understanding your husband-he likes a challenge.

The nearest gym to us is probably 30 miles away, but I take your point.

Yes, my go to gym is about 10 minutes away with a pool and a special rate for me as my age qualifies me for special rate.

We have a treadmill in the basement that was delivered in pieces, then assembled. Now that it’s together down there I have NO IDEA how it’ll leave the house. It might be included in the price of the house… 🤔

That’s the only sane move.
I swore ours was delivered in pieces as well… but it didn’t make it any easier to take apart.

Using a treadmill is boring; moving it – not so much…(or so it seems.)

Definitely not boring.

All these projects, I have learned (the hard way), take way longer because of these issues. Bringing it back will be equally… interesting? Good luck. And thanks for the, um, entertainment (while I’m on a 5-minute break from staining my floor…)

Those things are a god-damned war crime. All in-home exercise equipment is. Every time I’ve had to move one I got injured.

Wow. I thought pianos were the hardest things to move, but that treadmill is winning.

Pianos, pool tables and treadmills.
Ugh.

Oh His Lordship was not amused by the new floor chaos, lol. I’ve moved my treadmill from one room to another, but mine is a Golds Gym product and it’s easier to maneuver. Yours looks huge and ominous, lol.

It is.
And was…

How in the world did it arrive? In pieces? What an ordeal.

I thought I remembered it coming in two pieces, but damned if we could separate it.

Yeah, they’re a real nightmare to maneuver. I’m shocked ours made it from Rapid City to not one, but two, different places in Wisconsin. It helps that it’s in the basement and we wheeled it through a wide sliding glass door. Whew!
