.
It was only a matter of time before I heard scampering on the deck.
.

.
And once baby chuckies find the deck?
.

.
They’re hooked and treat it like a playground.
.

.
It’s adorable.
.

.
They run and spin like whirling dervishes.
.

.
In and out of the railings, under the grill.
.

.
Until…
.

.
They spot a cat.
.

.
And have to investigate.
.

.
Lord Dudley Mountcatten was riveted.
.
This post got me thinking: are there ever dervishes that don’t whirl?

Doubtful.
What would be the point?

The IRL answer is yes. Whirling Dervishes are a subset of the Dervish religion. I happened to see a thing on tv a few months ago.

I suppose that’s why ‘whirling’ is added as an adjective…

😁🥰 Great photos there. Especially that last one. How long was that particular observation going on for between them?

It’s a recent development as babies have just discovered the deck.

I enjoyed these photos so much. That’s a creature we don’t have.

Darth got his first zoomies last night, ran into a wall, and repeatedly fell over.

I wish *I* had baby woodchucks. They’d be a HUGE improvement over the rats.

Does Lord Dudley make noise like talking to them. Susy would.

Love the staredown!
I thought of all your critter pics Friday when I saw my very first live fox, and a red fox at that… running through someone’s yard about a mile from my house. Unfortunately, I was driving and making a turn at a dangerous intersection at the time, so no pics. I thought we were way too suburban for foxes, but it couldn’t have been anything else.

They’re so darn cute. Do they just want His Lordship to come out and play?

Maybe.
Now that would be blog worthy…
