Garden fluff and one very chill squirrel.

.

My new garden bed is starting to fill in…

.

.

But I wish the woodchucks hadn’t eaten all my mid summer blooms. So much for strategically timed planting.

.

.

The geraniums are doing well.

.

.

I was a bit late getting these in due to my mystery illness, but they’re flourishing now.

.

.

Our Japanese Spirea surprised me this year by branching off in white on the right side.

.

.

It’s always been solid pink…

.

.

But not anymore.

.

.

Close up of its fuzzy blooms.

The bees love it.

.

.

And yes, that’s one entirely too chill red squirrel.

  1. I remember the series of posts when you were building that garden bed. It’s looking pretty good. I love the blossoms, especially the close-ups. I think the squirrel knows how you feel about her.

  2. That’s looks beautiful! Very organized and manicured, perfection. I, on the other hand, have been pulling nasty goats head thorn and creeping Charlie weeds from the dirt, yes dirt, in my front yard all darn morning. Someday I aspire to have a nice garden of flowers like you…..someday 🤔.

    1. Thank you. It’s a lot of work, but I enjoy it.
Creeping Charlie is the bane of my gardening existence. I hate that evil weed! No matter how much you pull it keeps coming back.

  3. I love the vibe that squirrel is giving off—like, he don’t care about nuttin!

Your flowers are so lovely—so many bright, vivid colors. I remember when your garden bed was walled/rocked in. It looks spectacular!
