.
Another beautiful fall day called for another scenic drive.
.

.
I’m sorry, but autumn in New England is hard to beat.
.

.
The air is crisp and the trees give us a splendid tableau of color.
.

.
It also means the last gasp of yard sales and antique store sales that my husband can’t drive by. This particular shop had auxiliary rooms made out of tractor trailer boxes and were filled with vintage horrors.
.

.
Ack!
😱
.

.
Wow.
Please note the base table of this lamp lights up as well.
.

.
Inside, my husband combed the shelves for treasure but thankfully came out empty handed.
.

.
I’d much rather view foliage.
.

.

.
Statue of Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain at Bowdoin College. Hero of Gettysburg, he taught rhetoric and modern languages as a professor and later served as the college’s president. His home is across the street.
.
Just beautiful. I always wanted a trip up through the New England area in Autumn, but it never happened!

I want that lamp and table. I’d do stuff to it, first, change the shade, add and subtract things, maybe spray paint… So ugly but so unique!! 😵💫😂

I’m sure it’s still there…

Thank you.
Though it really is hard to take a bad photo this time of year…

Beautiful drive. I am not entirely certain I would have been able to pass up that lamp.

I managed, quite easily.

You need to stop posting paintings of New England autumns as your own photographs, no matter how beautiful they are!
The baby doll snap was a nice palate cleanser, tho…

Gorgeous! I miss the variety of fall colours found only in Eastern forests. Thanks for sharing!

We’re gonna get up there soon…I already have a lot of the places to visit accumulated in the form of brochures, maps, etc. Visiting here just fuels the fire more about making the trip happen!

The sky is also a beautiful shade of blue in a couple of those shots!

That lamp is almost so ugly it’s beautiful. Almost.

Yep, those creepy dolls were like some of the ones in the artwork at that movie director’s museum in Armenia that made me think of you. For the rest of my life, when I see creepy dolls, I think of you and that museum.

I still shudder when I think of that macabre collection.
