      1. I don’t know what the plan is for the place across the street from me, now that all the goodwill trailers and disaster relief equipment are gone.
We watched a couple guys apply black coating on the parking lot (+/- 2 acres) by hand; first time in the 28 years we have lived here that we have seen that parking lot get any attention at all.
I kinda hope it doesn’t change much, just for the history we witness: Parents teaching their kids to ride a bike, then, a few years later, teaching them to drive a car or a stick or ride a motorcycle. Making the best of it, you know? Your pics are great, as always.

      2. I’ve heard rumors of a small scale outdoor music venue with food trucks and such. I don’t know if the town of Weaverville will hold still for it, but I don’t know that they can do anything about it either, since the property is just outside the town limits. Upside: Since we’re both retired now, we can go to a show anytime we want and, if it’s across the street. holding Cathy’s hand will be as close to designated driving as I may ever get again. All this, of course, if the rumors are true. Just no drift track, if you don’t mind. You will know the future as soon as I do.

  1. Looks like a Stephen King novel, eerie at times. I remember this eeriness from my parents little shotgun shack on the Gulf in a cozy little place called Bon Secour. Downright eerie as could be the congregation nearby. Beautiful though.

  2. I wouldn’t mind a little fog around these parts. It has been a while. We had those kind of skies this weekend…like the end of the world when these super hot, super cold fronts come rolling through.
