Success.

The two new wall sconces have been installed, secured, leveled and oddly enough for DIY projects at Casa River… are fully functional!
.

.
To be honest I’m not overly thrilled with the look as they were described to be antique bronze and look more black…
.

.
But they’re a definite improvement over their tacky predecessors so I’m calling it good.

And though these next pictures are not Lord Dudley Mountcatten?

They could be.

Sigh.

Congratulations about wall sconce. I hope you will keep the path to the switch (relatively) clear so that you can switch them on occasionally. 🙂 I would love to see the picture of the lights on. 😀

I need to find some lower wattage bulbs, but when I do… I’ll be sure and turn them on for a photo.

Congrats on the final decision with the sconces – I think you picked the best ones from the bunch. And they have an antique look to me.

They weren’t my first choice, but I’m getting used to them.

I know, compromises, gah!

Awesome, they look perfect. And they look like “oiled bronze” to me, I saw some lamps at Lowes described that way with the same finish as your sconces. I think every cat is exactly what those pictures describe, every CAT 🫤

I was expecting them to be a tad more brown than black, but at least I can’t see bare wires and holes anymore.
The litter scattering is insane. Dudley is like the Tasmanian Devil in there.

Lovely and can’t wait to see your lights on. And being a former cat owner, I know what you mean about the cat litter.

No matter what kind of litter I buy or how high a box I put it in…. he flings it everywhere.

I used to use a cat litter tray with a cover. It helped much better. I didn’t have the flap on the entrance to the litter box though, as they were not used to cat flaps and so couldn’t get the gist of it. But it still helped to contain the cat litter regardless that I removed that part.

His Lordship won’t use one with a cover. I tried, he pooped along side it…

Oh dam. That’s a shame.

Yay! Glad to see the sconces are in and working. Lord DM? Bad kitty.

They look nice! Somehow I can’t get used to kitty litter between my toes but that’s life with a cat.

The sconces look pretty good. It’s funny, I bought door pulls and hinges to update our kitchen cabinets. They were supposed to be black but they’re antique bronze. I didn’t notice until I had opened half the little bags. But, if you look quickly, they’re black.

I think they go good next to your big plates. Maybe you should keep a plate at each end of the Mantel next to each Sconce.

Yay on the sconces. Even if you don’t love them, they’ve got to be better than two holes in the wall with wires sticking out.
Plus, if you really can’t stand looking at them, you can go outside and take in the amazing view there…

Beating holes and bare wires is a low bar, but yes. I like them better than that.

I love the sconces!
My least favorite part of having cats: cat litter!

My only question is why?
Why do they feel the need to spread the wealth?

Haha! Pretty sure that’s all cats.
