Sconces, cat litter and the moon.

.

Success.

.

.

The two new wall sconces have been installed, secured, leveled and oddly enough for DIY projects at Casa River… are fully functional!

.

.

To be honest I’m not overly thrilled with the look as they were described to be antique bronze and look more black…

.

.

But they’re a definite improvement over their tacky predecessors so I’m calling it good.

.

Pink winter sky with full moon.

.

.

And though these next pictures are not Lord Dudley Mountcatten?

.

.

They could be.

.

.

Sigh.

🥴

  1. Awesome, they look perfect. And they look like “oiled bronze” to me, I saw some lamps at Lowes described that way with the same finish as your sconces. I think every cat is exactly what those pictures describe, every CAT 🫤

    1. I was expecting them to be a tad more brown than black, but at least I can’t see bare wires and holes anymore.
The litter scattering is insane. Dudley is like the Tasmanian Devil in there.

      1. I used to use a cat litter tray with a cover. It helped much better. I didn’t have the flap on the entrance to the litter box though, as they were not used to cat flaps and so couldn’t get the gist of it. But it still helped to contain the cat litter regardless that I removed that part.

  2. The sconces look pretty good. It’s funny, I bought door pulls and hinges to update our kitchen cabinets. They were supposed to be black but they’re antique bronze. I didn’t notice until I had opened half the little bags. But, if you look quickly, they’re black.

  3. Yay on the sconces. Even if you don’t love them, they’ve got to be better than two holes in the wall with wires sticking out.

Plus, if you really can’t stand looking at them, you can go outside and take in the amazing view there…
