Because it’s Friday and it shouldn’t tax your brain.

The first song that popped into my head was from my (extremely misspent) youth.
.

.
I remember being in high school art class when our teacher announced the new assignment… draw an album cover. I chose this New Riders of the Purple Sage record and got an A. Though Mrs. O’Neill erased the joint in his hand which made him look somewhat Italian. 😉
Fun fact? I still have my original vinyl.
The other song that rattled around my brain?
.

.
Little Red Corvette by Prince.
.

.
Musical genius, taken too soon.
Now you…
Name a song with red in the title.
.
I’ll stick with one, since yours were so good. I’m going with Long haired Redneck by the great David Allan Coe. If that ain’t country…

Red, Red Wine by UB40. A staple of 80’s radio airplay.

There was this pop song on the radio I used to hear all the time when I was a kid: “123 Red Light.” I don’t remember the band, but it was about a guy begging his girlfriend to stop playing games with his heart. But dammit, it’s now stuck in my brain! Like all those cute pop songs from the 60s.

I don’t know that one… but I have a feeling it’s an earworm I don’t need.

“Lady in Red” for me too – That was back in the day when I only wore red and black (https://youtu.be/T9Jcs45GhxU?si=2pmCNjpW1WC7Ev6E)

I don’t usually take the bait on these, but I thought a change of pace might be in order. “Red Necks, White Socks, and Blue Ribbon Beer” – especially now that Pabst has become a hipster’s favorite.

My kids had it on a record when they were little. It had all the oldies — Clementine, Sweet Betsy from Pike, Yellow Rose of Texas, Blue Tail Fly, In the Good Old Summertime, Camptown Races, Wabash Cannonball, Sidewalks of New York….
