More myopic maps.

Because you love to disagree with them..

It doesn’t surprise that Maine is number one. My in laws were priced out of their oceanfront home decades ago.

Organic veggies? I can’t argue with that, there are 75 acres worth right across the street.

Patrick Dempsey is a Maine boy, born and bred. He’s a bit of a hero here as he started and sponsors The Dempsey Challenge…. and participates every year to raise money for cancer on behalf of his sister. Very down to earth and pleasant guy.

Safe?

I’ll take it.

Naturally ours is a Stephen King novel, but I probably would have picked a different story.

Not sure what Maine is leading.

Lobsters?

      1. “Mountaineers are always free.” It’s funny it wasn’t translated from the Latin like the other states. But I’ve always liked West Virginia’s motto. It’s economically impoverished but it has a rich history. 🙂

  1. Patrick Dempsey over Stephen King? I don’t think so. 😉 Stephen King put Maine on the map all around the world. When my daughter was in Thailand, Stephen King’s name immediately came up when she mentioned she was from Maine. Very cool about those organic vegetables.

  2. I’m so old I don’t know who half the famous people are! More than half! Nevada has more anti-government crackpots than it has jack rabbits and tumbleweeds – so they should reexamine their state motto!

  3. Cold? Tell that to next week’s forecast. 90°+ and humid = heat indices over 100.° Oh, boy…can’t wait…

And I vehemently disagree with the housing affordability map. There is no way California ranks so low. Nor Washington and Oregon, for that matter. I should know: I fled all three states because I was priced out of a home!
