.
The WordPress attaboys had slowed for a while but then this popped up the other day.
.

.
I highly doubt they read all my comments and picked out ten to be thoughtful.
.

.
Those numbers don’t add up.
And yes, I’m still mad at myself for missing a day when my streak was over 1,400.
😡
.

.
The unofficial mayor of Bath, Maine is clearly a scrapper.
.

.
And his recovery was front page news.
.

.
Someday I’m going to meet him in person. Or is that in feline?
.

.
Never let it be said broccoli doesn’t belong on pizza. With a garlic crust, Alfredo sauce, 3 cheeses and grilled chicken? Fabulous.
As was the blackberry mojito.
.

.
I hope these are true.
Smelly Onion beats the Windy City hands down.
.

.
You never know what will pop up in small Maine towns.
.

.
That’s impressive carving right there.
.
It’s no fair that some towns get cat mayors. I want a cat mayor. And governor. And representatives. Oh, and president, of course.

A cat government?
Can’t be any worse than what we have now.

Wishing Sunny a continued recovery and fewer fights in the future. I guess that’s a “You should have seen the other guy” moment in that first photo.

Sunny was a stray for many years. Some habits are hard to break…

I am thinking someone in Maine wants a few alligators around!

Not this chick!
You can keep ‘em.

That is what I am thinking about tomorrow morning’s appointment for PT at 7:30 and the husband loading our two pugs into the car. It is going to an interesting morning!

Well I’m saying it, broccoli does not belong on pizza! There is only one reason for eating broccoli that I can see: everything else has gone off.

I adore broccoli, it’s my favorite vegetable.
Now pineapple?
Keep that off my pie.

I’m a pizza purist. Cheese only! However, if you are going to do Alfredo sauce instead of marinara, it’s already just a breadstick. So why not?

It’s delicious.

So funny about the cat mayor. If it makes people happy, I guess.
I would totally eat that pizza. It looks and sounds great. I once had an eggplant pizza. It was not as good as I think yours was, but I appreciated its uniqueness.
I feel that alligator was false advertising a bit, but it is still impressive.

I think pizza lends itself to experimentation. One of the best pies I ever had was in Vermont. Bacon, cheese and apple slices with a maple drizzle. Fabulous!

Wow. That sounds amazing!

Pizza is, after all, just the ultimate flatbread. I like a good veggie pizza, extra garlic. I’m sure there were pizzerias around when I was growing up but we didn’t need them. We had pizza once a week – homemade – left overs were left in the oven and the next morning my brother and I would race each down to the kitchen to get cold pizza for breakfast. Homemade pizza is great cold, but not store bought. Cold store bought pizza is just cardboard. Granted we had Sicilian pizza – basically focaccia with cheese and tomato sauce. And yes the corners were primo.
As for those little WP achievement reminders – I love the “on this date” reminders. Damn, but I was a good writer back in the day.
And yes, that is an amazing carving. Also – orange cats are the most delightful and annoying and aggravating and gorgeous cat breed. I had one – BB – which stood for bad boy. I’ve got video.

Mmm.. love Sicilian pizza.
We had an orange kitty. He was an absolute joy, very sweet.

Oh orange cats are super affectionate – the joke that all the orange cats in the world share exactly one brain cell amongst them was certainly true of BB – he was dumber than a box of rocks but a super velcro cat – had to be attached to a human at all times.

Our boy was pretty clever. Not sure he fit the stereotype.

He’s the “unofficial” mayor.
Typical government weaseling out of paying benefits.

I would make very short work of that pizza, and I wouldn’t mind enjoying it while hanging out with that alligator. Its expression is a bit wooden, but I’d cheer it up.

The mojito might help.

I had an orange tabby Sunny as well, though my Sunny was female. She was also a ferocious fighter who drove all the feral cats out of our apartment grounds until I finally fixed the hole in the screen and kept her indoors. I see a lot of derisive comments online about orange tabbies’ lack of intelligence, but she was one sharp cat. Bath should be proud to have such a scrappy mayor!

Oh, they are. He’s a cottage industry now. People visit just to try and catch sight of him.

The WordPress achievements have slowed down for me, too. Maybe I need to go on a spree of thoughtful comments. 😂
Sunny looks like he’s had enough with the townspeople. The pizza looks amazing. And, OMG, I love the literal translation of city names, and I agree that smelly onion is probably the best.

I read that Chicago is called The Windy City because of all the loudmouth politicians and no because of the wind – or the smelling garlic plants! Always happy to see a new use for broccoli!

I once served pizza to a New Yorker. Like AutumnAshbough, he was a purist – though a bit more liberal than Autumn. He told me that pizza has tomato sauce, mozzarella and parmesan, and may have one additional ingredient which could be sausage or pepperoni. He might have included mushrooms. But only one of those in addition to cheese. What I made for him he called “food – even good food – but not pizza.”

The dictionary definitions of pizza say “various toppings”. As far as I’m concerned that can include broccoli.

That chicken-broccoli Alfredo pizza setup sounds absolutely top-tier—whoever said broccoli doesn’t belong on pizza clearly hasn’t tried it with garlic crust and three cheeses! Also, sending speedy recovery vibes to the unofficial mayor of Bath; he looks like a tough little orange guy with plenty of stories to tell. 🍕🐱

I agree that your numbers don’t seem to make sense. Activity should be higher!
Based on the city names that I can translate, that list seems correct…. and now I’m amused by Boca Raton.
