After replacing the empty CO2 canister in our man cave/Barn Mahal kegerator is was time to go keg shopping. For my husband who likes Allagash White, that means a quick trip to Bootleggers distributors and a $99 bill.
For me it means over an hours drive south to Barreled Souls brewery.

I was disappointed they weren’t tapping my last keg pick…
Little Havana – Sour Fruited Gose. A tropical Gose brewed with Mango, Pineapple, and Guava.
It was perfect for summer, but them not running it forced me to do a couple of flights to choose something different.

Go ahead, twist my arm.
My pick this time?
Cherry Cobbler – a 6.0% ABV fruited sour ale brewed with cherries, vanilla, and graham cracker. Tastes like freshly baked cherry cobbler with a tart and pastry-like finish. Weird, but wonderful.
Price tag of the limited run small batch craft keg?$240.
My husband groaned accordingly.
