Because not only had I never heard of this woman and her bizarre career choice….
But I was totally unaware there was an audience for it as well.
I have an iPhone.
Which means I have Apple News.
So last week I was scrolling through the stories of the day and stumbled across this:
I shouldn’t have watched.
I know that…. believe me. But I thought it was a joke. I figured I would laugh and blog about the ridiculousness of it.
It wasn’t a joke.
And apparently this is a thing.
There’s an entire YouTube channel devoted to watching Dr. Sandra Lee pop people’s pimples.
She has 5,643,803 subscribers FFS!
I fear for the future of the human race when over half a billion people have nothing better to do than watch this:
We’re doomed I tell you.
Doomed.
No thanks… I think I have enough self control to never ever see that…

Good choice. But why is this popular?
Why…?

Never underestimate the power of grossness…

It does make me wonder how this doctor chose her speciality. Not many young girls grow up wishing to do that for the rest of their lives…

I accidentally watched a video after a friend commented on it in FB and I almost vomited. I’m not even gonna go there with your vid.

Nope not kidding. A lot of us weird people love this, although for me at least, I have to be in the mood to watch it. My husband says people like me that like to pop things are closer to the apes as we are just “grooming” people like the apes do LOL

I, too, thought it was a joke the first time I heard about this program. That vid you shared was pretty darn gross! And this is coming from a nurse, LOL.

See, if it’s grossing out a nurse…. you know it’s bad!

River,
As if. Puh-leeze, woman! You’ve read my posts long enough to know that Dr. Pimple Popper exists; which is why I don’t understand why so many freak out because I discuss something that every human being experiences at least once in their lives. Don’t be a hater…be a relater. Mona

I have no issue popping my own when necessary. But I don’t feel the need to share the experience. I wish others felt the same.
Sorry, no love for Dr Pimple Popper here.

They make me nauseated, and I am glad Facebook stopped auto-playing the videos, because I feel a little hork comin on just thinkin about it.

I consider myself extremely fortunate to be on a train with terrible internet and unable to watch this video. But thanks for letting me know about this as it proves my theory that some people get some kind of sexual kick from watching spots being popped.

Dodged that bullet.
Well done…
