Mariners’ Museum 4…. in miniature.

 

The next section of the museum was fascinating if you’ve ever been a fan of model ships.

Growing up I had a friend whose father had a passion for it, and while his were lovely….

There were nothing like the ones on display here.

Anyway you look at it, they were all impressive. But when the docent asked us if we’d been in the masterclass room yet…

I realized there was a whole other level of craftsmanship.

  1. Wow, those are very beautiful works of art for sure. I wonder how long it would take him to build one, let alone an entire fleet! Also, that must have been a strain on his eyesight since the details are so small. Small but impressive for sure!

  2. Okay, now this is my JAM! I do love miniatures and would ooh and ahh like mad. I’m the one who has to be dragged out of the room while my family huffs and puffs. Do so love and admire.
