Now that the not even friggin’ close to temporary doors were finished, it was time to start insulating the ceiling.
This product is great, not nearly as toxic and itchy as the old pink stuff….. but still, masks and gloves help.
Many, many small pieces had to be cut.
With (for once! ) the appropriate tool.
Imagine cutting into a large, dry, rectangular angel food cake and you get the idea.
Stuff. Stuff. Stuff.
Into all the spaces in between.
After he built shelves for his speakers….
And tucked all the wires away.
Oh, you spotted that ancient electric typewriter?
Of course he had to bring it home when his office threw it away. It works! And heck, you never know when you might need one.
It took a whole day to stuff the small corners and when I tried to leave to cook dinner?
I had to wait.
But the sunset was nice.
So it wasn’t really a hardship.
It’s looking good.

I’d prefer bar hopping, but since that’s out…

Impressive, including the deer on cue.

Are those Panasonic speakers? Those are as old as (and not nearly as effective as) that old typewriter.

Just as my husband likes them.

Oh this is shaping up to be a sarcasm Friday. Which means there is ample justification to switch over early and enthusiastically from wake up sauce to philosophy sauce. Cheers ! And let us pray that the deer don’t come between us and the refrigerator !

Every day is sarcasm Friday at my house, but yes… make way deer. River needs a lime for her margarita.

I still don’t understand why he put the stereo right where the doors are and NOT near the window instead?

I’d have been happier if it went out the window…

And just think–when he finishes the barn in 2036 he is going to get the idea of tearing it down and starting all over again making it a museum for old forgotten machinery!!!

That idea has already been floated.

I’ll say this ~> your husband is NOT a couch potato.
That barn is going to be a gorgeous pool hall / bar/ honky tonk!
