.
An honest to goodness, sturdy and well built, fully stained and polyurethaned, ready to dance on (or fall under) bar!
.

.
It was a long time coming but we’re pleased with the result.
.

.
The wood grain is lovely, the top is smooth and shiny.
.

.
And once the custom ordered chairs and shelves are ready, it will be time to get down to business.

The business of mixing my first Barn Mahal cocktail.

Please post photos of you dancing on the bar!!!! ❤

No one wants to see that. 20 years ago? Maybe….

I’ll bet Mama Red will dance on the bar if you ask her nicely (and fix her a little drink…. no, not cyanide)…

I do have a bottle of absinthe….. hmm.

I think this warrants its own drink no? You must create a cocktail that is specifically suited for this barn. 😛
Start experimenting now. 😉

Thanks. I didn’t actually think there would be a drink like that.

Way too sweet for me, even if I were so inclined.

I like that idea. And as soon as the shelves are finished and I can stock them with booze? I shall.

Did you at least crack open a beer?

That’s really nice River, I’m a bit jelly right now, lol. Have you tried Cayman Margaritas? They come in bottles but they are the closest to a handmade margarita I’ve tasted. Anyway, hope to see some pics with the custom chairs when they come in.

Okay how can it be ready to go when there are no shelves for glasses, snack bowls and booze?!?!?!?

The construction is finished. Now the fun part begins.

I love the versatility of that flowchart. You can easily substitute WINE or BLOODY MARY or OLD FASHIONED depending on your mood.

I like that there’s a water tank in the corner.

He brought that home from his office. They were throwing it out… and we can’t have that.

I had a margarita earlier this evening at our fave Mexican restaurant, Ojeda’s. (Along with fish tacos, should you be a completist about my personal consumption.) I raised the glass in honor of your shiny bar, swear… 😉

There was a horse sitting at a bar; man walks in and asks, “Why the long face?” It’s all I got but I had to think of one bar joke. Looks great!

No longs faves allowed at our bar. Only those flushed with good cheer… and beer!
