.
Not much exciting was happening in our little burg this week.
.
.
It was a very mild winter and unfortunately we’re all apt to have lots of Johns. Wait…. that didn’t sound right.
.
.
John gets around.
.
.
Bad puns. They’re everywhere.
.
.
A brazen coyote? This is where my mind went….
.
.
That’s got to be a hard way to go.
.
.
With a name like Tofu, the odds are good she wasn’t eaten. Even hawks have to draw the line somewhere.
.
.
So, does anyone in your area raise roadrunners?

Sadly, no. But a man up the road has Ring Necked Pheasants…

I grew up learning to burn ticks also. One day, I found one on our dog. I asked my hubby to get the lighter, and he said, “Why don’t you just flush it down the toilet?”
Me: But we burn them…

Flushing doesn’t work. They can crawl right back out and if you happen to be sitting when they do? Not good.

It wasn’t that long ago that I learned possums are good for one thing: they eat ticks. And ticks are only good for one thing: being eaten by possums. But let’s not forget the spiders. They are wonderful creatures and seeing a beautiful web always makes my day.

The possum is a much maligned creature. I love having them around the house….

Well, that explains why we don’t have ticks around here. Ha!

Brazen, eh? One might even describe the coyote as “wily.”

I’m always fascinated by spiders – the different types, the way they move, and so on. I tend to anthropomorphise everything in my head, and then laugh at my own stupidity.

There’s something about their warfare strategy that appeals to me. Lay your trap, then patiently wait.
