In retrospect, not a good idea.

We have a raccoon who visits nightly. And while he’s a cute, pudgy old fellow… he’s extremely destructive when it comes to our birds feeders. Every morning we wake up to one or two on the ground, often in pieces. A month ago I started taking them down at dusk and putting them in the garage overnight. When I went to bed early last week and forgot? The husband got lazy and left them on the kitchen porch.

Not at all good.

  1. We have several grey squirrels that steal from our bird feeders. We have given up putting peanuts out, because they vandalise everything in pursuit of them.

  2. Not a raccoon fan. They’re never as cute in person as they are in pics. And that waddle. It’s just creepy.

But I learned something new. I didn’t know raccoons like bird seed.

    1. When my husband was a kid he found an abandoned baby and raised it as a pet. His mother used to take it grocery shopping with her…. it rode in the cart like a baby.

      1. They are raising holy hell around my place. They gotta go. I can’t afford to keep fixing everything those furry tail wreckers wreck.
