But that sucker slides right down my bathroom sinks and shower drains and brings up all manner of nasty clogs. (I’ll spare you photographic evidence of my claim, suffice it to say I have a head of thick curly hair that doesn’t always stay on my head.)

Hey, if River says it works then who am I to argue? I don’t have thick or curly hair, but I do shed a lot of it and it does wind up down the drains.

I’m tired of pouring chemicals down the drain to break up hair clogs. This is a bit disgusting…. but it works like a charm.

Yeah I know how you feel. And sometimes it takes multiple pours to get through stubborn clogs.

We put those little removable screen thingies in our sinks. Catches about 95% of stuff trying to escape through the drain. No clogs for years. They run about $1 a two pack.

I bought that drain stick and similar ones on Amazon and have had success. Trying to get the stick itself unstuck could snap a prong to add to the mess but they have worked for me. The removeable screens that theearthspins mentioned have had a huge impact on preventing problems in the first place for us.

I broke two prongs on the shower drain as well. I need to check out that ‘shroom.

I got one of those as a freebie with drain cleaner.
I started using a tub shroom and.. poof…no more clogs!! I bought a sink shroom but forgot the sink thing is connected to the up/down lever, so I haven’t used it yet.

Little catch-all insert for drains. I think like them because the gunk stays hidden till you clean it. For me, with cats and never vacuuming, that’s about every 3rd shower. I def see why my drain was clogging!!

That looks great, but my sinks have that up and down thingy so I couldn’t use it.

Same. Mine’s not set up correctly… I keep it propped open with a screw… so I’ll eventually take it apart and replace with a shroom.

I buy orange ones at ace hardware. I keep a couple in each bath. I get to do that on Tuesday night after my front room guests leave. *sigh*
