It seems that little red bitch has given up the Barn Mahal and moved in even closer to yours truly.
.

.
Lately she’s spending all her time in, on and around our back deck grill…. and I fear another nest has been built.

.
This does not bode well for future cookouts.

Although…

I’ve heard people do eat roast squirrel….

Well, I’d check the grill and if she does have a nest, evict her fuzzy ass immediately. That or fire up the grill for some red squirrel stew, just saying.

The grill is less than effective at 2 below, but maybe just a test run of the igniter.

Oh, she’s so little! One of those open backed little doll’s houses could be a nice abode, maybe with a perspex cover so you can see her in each room.

Maybe a classic Colonial with center staircase and living room fireplace?

My guess is the grill. A few years ago someone moved into ours through the drip hole. Even stored it full of food. But never came back. We haven’t used the grill since…

That’s what I’m afraid is. We just bought this one and it cost a small fortune.

Then you might have the most upscale red squirrel in America. Put her on Tik Tok, she’ll have a million followers in no time!

No can do. That will make it all the harder when she (not so) mysteriously disappears.

I’m more interested in the roasting part, not the eating.

Have you considered propane without fire? Nitey nite, pleasant dreams and morning has been canceled.

With my luck, she’d light a cigarette and blow up the whole house.

Been thinking about starting up my car and letting it run in the closed up garage to get whatever it is in there. But if he doesn’t crawl out where I can find him, then I have stench for how long……….

Mouse nests are a real problem here in the winter. Husband just had to put $750 into his BMW thanks to a chewing rodent.
