I think she missed the class on burying.

.

Little dried pieces of fruit have been appearing in strange places around our house as of late.

.

.

On the railings, the steps, at the edge of the gutters. And for a while I just thought the birds bit off more than they could chew. (Do birds chew?)

.

.

But then there she was. Scurrying around the back deck with fruit in her mouth looking for a place to bury her treasure for future consumption.

.

.

I think she must have missed that class at squirrel university.

What a dumb ass.

And speaking of squirrels? While the husband and I decided to take a pass on gifts this Valentines Day… I have to admit he won the card contest hands down.

.

.

It’s perfect.

🤣

  1. Squirrels have a nasty habit of forgetting where they stash food when their places are covered in snow and don’t look the same as they did at stashing time. It is possible you have a genius squirrel who is hiding things in plain site–as long as the lady of the house doesn’t steal the “hiddem” gems of survival. As to hubby’s card, I would rather be the receiver than the giver, with the caption “Your Nuts are Mine!”ROTF….
YIKES! I just noticed. I updated my tablet the other day, and my EMOJIS are gone! Like, nowhere to be found! No smiling face on my keyboard! How am I going to live? Oh, yeah. I only use them once a year anyway, on special occasions… No loss after all…
